Terms & Conditions for all users

  • The Guru Chela: An Education of Your Choice is a registered MSME cum start-up also known as TGC. For all users i.e. editors, professors, students and/ or any other person the Terms and Conditions (T&C) of TGC (website and/or android supportive mobile app) will be displayed digitally in English language only. After reading and understanding T&C the users must have to comply accordingly or may stop the use of TGC.
  • At TGC users can register either as a professor and/ or a student for academic purpose. Candidates wishing to use TGC must provide the correct and latest information requested during the registration or any communication. Users are informed that except email id and mobile number their general information may be displayed as a profile view for others at TGC. Users are advised to update their general information except email id, stream and subject, time to time and will be responsible for the authenticity and validity of information. TGC authority assumes that each registered user uses TGC voluntarily and agreed to the T&Cs presented here. Except legal dispute TGC authorities never disclose user’s email id and mobile number but, may use it for TGC related communications.

Editors

  • Anyone having interest in academia can make a request to join TGC’s editorial team. Multi-tasking candidates can request for the editorship of multiple subjects. Looking towards the expertise of the candidate, TGC authorities may suggest and/ or assign them a suitable subject. The final decision on whether to approve a candidate’s request for editorship will be made by TGC authorities and the concerned candidate will have to accept it. TGC authorities provide electronically generated invitation/ joining cum appointment letter to the suitable candidates. Editors associated with TGC will be given a system generated personal account the use of which must be limited to the concerned editor.
  • At TGC editors are expected to perform following activities: (1) Making posts related to his/ her assigned subject(s). In case of copyright, plagiarism or any other issues of the post submitted by the editor on TGC, the full responsibility for resolving it will rest with the concerned editor only. The editor may edit or delete such post(s) immediately or maximum within seven days after he/ she is notified of the error in anyway. Editors may write his/ her full name at the bottom of the post if it is own creation, but except that no editors can disclose any of his/ her other private information like mobile number, e mail address, institute name, city etc. through the editorial panel. (2) Approve or reject the notes/ contents/ study materials in text, images, PDF, audio clips MP3 or link format after its subject relevance check, if posted by the professor or student. The editor should make a final decision about the activities related to the professors or students immediately or within 24 h after its subject relevance check.
  • Editors can access the content of their assigned subject(s) related professors and students. In this case it will be the personal responsibility of the editor to maintain the full confidentiality (i.e. at personal level they should avoid sharing with others) of content. 

Professors and students

  • Anyone who wants teach/ guide others should register as a professor while, anyone who wants to acquire knowledge should register as a student. Registered professors and students will receive educational updates, unlimited space to store own study contents/ notes (i.e. text message, images, pdf, audio clip, video link etc.), profile view of other common subject users, question-answer facility, connection development facility within the community, document access facility etc. Students may give blind review and rating only for one time after they receive at least five queries reply from the concerned professors. The average score of ratings given by students will be displayed in professors’ profile and can be viewed by other users.
  • Each study content/ note uploaded by the users into personal account will pass through editorial penal where it can be approved or rejected by the editors based on its subject relevance. If there is any question about the study content/ note being approved or rejected the users should inform to the TGC authorities. The concerned user will be responsible for the authenticity, plagiarism, copyright etc. of every study content/ note posted in own account. From personal account users can edit or delete the study content. In particular, if questions or legal issue arise on study content related matter it will be the responsibility of the concerned user to resolve it. TGC authorities or TGC editors will not be responsible for such matters/ legal issues in any way. The professor must know that each study content/ note present in his/her account can be fully accessible to the students while, other professors can request them to give access. Whether to give full content access to other professor user is the personal responsibility. The student must know that the study content/ note present in his/her account can be fully accessible to other professors and students having the same subject.
  • TGC authorities have no responsibility for whether the professor will answer the student, when the professor will answer or whether the answer will be correct. Students are advised to give review in words which does not offend the professor at the time of giving the review and rating. TGC authorities or TGC editors will not be responsible for any such matters/ legal issues in any way.
  • Professors and students can develop new connections from their respective communities which purely a mutual interest of individual users and will be end to end encrypted. TGC authorities do not access and have no control over the chat of users. Users have facility to mute/ unmute the other users in case of any misbehave/ misconduct. TGC authorities are not responsible for any issues related to the users internal communications.
  • Professors and students can link their scientific, professional and social media profiles with TGC account for the promotion which will be purely a personal interest and decision.

Additional

  • The TGC authorities strictly advise that no user should copy, edit, download, save or share any type of information or other user’s study content/ note/ material without reference. If a user commits any such misconduct in anyway, the TGC authorities are not responsible for it. Furthermore, TGC authorities may provide study content/ note/ material/advertisement to users, but never claiming for any content submitted by the other users. TGC authorizes are not responsible for any technical irresponsiveness, data loss, hacking, technical/system error or factors which are not in direct/ indirect control. Yet users are advised to report any technical or non-technical issues to the TGC authorities so that effort has been made to settle down it in early stage with improved facilities and without any legal dispute. TGC authority’s decision on any matter subject to the terms and conditions set forth herein shall be final.
  • All TGC users can get advertisement/ promotional messages and communications from TGC. TGC application available at Play store contains advertisement.
  • Users can request TGC authorities to deactivate and/ or delete their personal account and data permanently. On the contrary, TGC authorities may directly delete the accounts of users those are involved in repetitive misleading activities, putting mispronouncing content/ text/ photographs and/ or inactive since long permanently. If TGC is defamed due to any misconduct by the user, TGC authorities may take legal action against the concerned user and seek compensation. In case of any legal dispute, a matter will be held in court of Amreli district, Gujarat, India.
